Fun in the Sun
The 2018 Annual "Fun in the Sun" event was more like "A Blast While Overcast" this year, but the clouds could not eclipse an hour of unbounded spirit on the back lawn of the Upper School Mansion for the entire school. The tradition was started by the Student Government in 2007...
...to help students let off some steam and relax before finals. It is much the same today, though bigger and better with more students, more games, more food, and larger Musical Chairs and Balloon Toss tournaments than ever.
Middle School students were shuttled to the Upper School campus and hosted by the US Student Government. Even though the two divisions are on separate campuses, the spirit of "one school" was pervasive during friendly competition. In fact, the Musical Chairs event — a perennial favorite — ended with two Grants in the finals: 6th grader Grant B and 11th grader Grant P. Middle School spectators proudly cheered on "Little Grant! Little Grant!" to victory. View more photos
