8th Grade Jurassic Park Trial
Each year, Ms. Liakos invites her 8th graders to put Jurassic Park on trial. The novel, with its many complex ethical and scientific issues, is also people with fascinating characters such as John Hammond.
After reading the book over the summer, the students are assigned roles and defend or prosecute their positions with vigor, interrogating witnesses, weighing evidence and coming to a decision of guilt or innocence. This project is often talked about many years hence as one of the favorite projects from middle school. So look over the photos and see if you can find your favorite character. View photos>>
