Announcing the Newest Members of the Crystal Flock!
A huge thank you to our entire Crystal community for clucking up so much excitement about our new chickens! We are thrilled to announce the names for the six newest members of our Crystal flock, chosen through a fun and collaborative process under the guidance of Tiffany Crist-Studley, MS Science Teacher.
Ms. Crist-Studley said, “a giant thank you goes out to everyone who participated in the naming nominations – we received over 300 wonderfully creative suggestions! A special shout-out to our dedicated Garden Stewards who took on the impressive task of narrowing down that extensive list. Finally, thank you to everyone who cast their votes in the final round!”
The results are in, and it's with great pleasure that we introduce our new girls, by their breeds:
- Barnevelder Chickens: Please welcome Oreo and Kenchick Lamar!
- French Wheaten Maran Chickens: Say hello to Egg Sheeran and Chew-bawk-a!
- Lavender Americauna Chickens: And introducing Stormy and Pepper!
We're so excited for these feathered friends to become a part of our MS campus life. Keep an eye out for Oreo, Kenchick Lamar, Egg Sheeran, Chew-bawk-a, Stormy, and Pepper as they settle into their new home!
