Global Perspectives: Upper School Spring Break Explorations
While many were enjoying time at home, several groups of Upper School students were busy expanding their horizons through global immersion programs in France, Ireland, and China. These trips are designed to move beyond traditional sightseeing, allowing students to truly engage with the languages, histories, and cultures they've studied on campus.
Bonjour from France: Students spent their break fully immersed in French linguistic and cultural life, navigating historic sites and practicing their language skills in real-world settings.
Dia dhuit from Ireland: This group journeyed through the Emerald Isle to explore the complexities of Irish history, culture, and identity, gaining a deeper understanding of the country's global influence.
Ní hǎo from China: From the bustling streets of Beijing to the Great Wall, students participated in a deep cultural exchange that included martial arts sessions and visits to traditional Hutong neighborhoods.
These experiences are vital to helping our students grow into thoughtful global citizens. We can't wait to see more of their stories and photos.
