We are actively seeking engaged and compassionate students who are involved in the classroom and in the community; students who are athletes, artists, performers, activists and thinkers.
Getting Started
Step One: Ravenna
Create an account with Ravenna, a web-based application system used by many Bay Area independent schools. If you already have an account you may use the same log-in information.
Step Two: Get to know Crystal!
Why Crystal: We strongly recommend that your first step is to register for a virtual information session. Why Crystal in 30 minutes, we will walk you through our mission and core values, the admission process, introduce you to members of the Admission team, and answer any questions you may have. This event is for parents/guardians only.
Connect with Crystal Series: Formerly known as Open Houses, our Connect with Crystal series offers more targeted events so you can experience important aspects of our school both in-person and virtually.
Step Three: APPLY!
Once you submit your preliminary application, you will have access to:
Schedule your family’s campus tour
Schedule your student’s interview
Complete the parent/guardian interview
Register for the Proctored Writing Sample
Track your submitted application forms
Step Four: Complete your Application by January 9, 2024
All required forms must be received by the due date
Admission acceptance letters and Financial Aid decision letters will be mailed on March 14, 2024, and all decisions will be made available via Ravenna on March 15, 2024.
If the application fee is a financial hardship for your family, please enter the following code on Ravenna for your fee to be waived: GRYPHON23
If any part of the application process poses a financial hardship, please contact the Admission Office at admission@crystal.org
If you have questions about our financial aid program, please contact Ken Considine, our Director of Financial Aid, at kconsidine@crystal.org, and visit the Affording Crystal section of our website.
Community Safety During COVID
We continue to monitor the COVID situation in the Bay Area. Our number one priority is keeping our students and our community safe. While we are planning on offering on-campus events this admission season, we may be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test from within 72 hours of the start of the event in order to attend. We may also move some in-person events to virtual events. Registered participants will receive more details prior to our events.
