Before applying to middle schools, I knew something I wanted to see while searching was a strong and welcoming community. Throughout elementary school, my friend group went through multiple changes that never felt right so I was looking for a culture in which I belonged. Immediately as I arrived on campus to shadow the school, I was greeted by many happy faces from faculty and students. My shadow buddy made me feel so comfortable with everyone so I had no time to feel shy or nervous. I met new people in each class who shared stories from Crystal traditions like snow days and lip sync. I felt so excited that I wanted to start immediately and knew that Crystal would be the perfect fit.
