The Gryphon’s PathA LEGACY IN EACH STEP

We invite you to contribute to the transformation of Crystal's campus – brick by brick. Your donation helps lay the physical and symbolic foundation for the future of our school, honoring our past and powering our shared vision for the future.
EVERY BRICK TELLS A STORY
Each personalized brick on the Mansion patio will feature a custom engraved plaque creating a visible reminder of the people who shape the Crystal community. Whether you're an alum, parent, PAC member, or friend, your story is part of our shared foundation.
CELEBRATE FRIENDSHIPS, CLASSES, & FAMILIES
Bricks honor the students, teachers, and families who make Crystal extraordinary. Together, they form a path that reminds students, and especially alumni, that they are part of a connected, caring community that lasts a lifetime.
SUPPORT SUSTAINABILITY, EQUITY, AND ACCESS
Your gift sustains Crystal's historic beauty while ensuring the campus is safer, greener, and more accessible for generations of learners to come.
Make your mark on the Mansion with a one-time gift of $5,000 or more to claim a brick. Brick sales begin March 17, 2026 and quantities are limited. Donate today to secure your place on The Gryphon’s Path.

FAQs

List of 12 items.

  • Do I need to give again if I’ve already donated to the Thrive Together Campaign?

No. If you have already made a qualifying gift to the Thrive Together Campaign, your generosity may be recognized through a plaque without an additional gift. For information about claiming your brick and sharing your inscription, please contact giving@crystal.org.
  • Does the plaque affect the tax-deductibility of my gift?

No goods or services will be transferred in connection with this opportunity. The brick and associated plaque will remain Crystal’s property and are intended solely as a recognition of the donor’s generosity.

As always, we encourage donors to consult their tax advisor regarding the deductibility of any gift.
  • How does my gift connect to the Mansion renovation project?

Gifts support the Mansion renovation as part of the Thrive Together campaign. Each plaque recognizes a donor’s contribution of a leadership gift.
  • How many bricks can I reserve?

To help make this opportunity available to as many members of the Crystal community as possible, we ask that each family reserve one brick. We recognize that special circumstances may arise, and questions may be directed to giving@crystal.org.
  • How will plaques be affixed to these historic bricks?

The plaques have been thoughtfully designed in partnership with our installer to honor the historic character of these century old bricks, using a minimally invasive approach that gives careful consideration to preservation, safety, and accessibility. Each inscribed plaque will rest atop its brick with a low profile and will be professionally and securely affixed with care.
  • Is space limited?

Yes. Space is limited, and this is not an ongoing opportunity. June 4, 2026 is the last day to reserve a brick to ensure that installation of the plaques can proceed on schedule.
  • What can my plaque say?

Plaques may include family names, student names with class years, or short messages of meaning. There is a maximum of two lines with up to 26 characters per line (including spaces). Please see additional guidelines and examples.
  • What is The Gryphon’s Path?

The Gryphon’s Path is a commemorative space along the historic Mansion patio, where generations of Crystal alumni have walked at Commencement. Through a qualifying gift to the Thrive Together Campaign, supporters may personalize a historic brick with a name, message, or tribute.
  • What is the minimum gift?

A gift of $5,000 or more qualifies for one personalized plaque. Gifts of $50,000 or more will receive additional recognition through a special gryphon insignia on the plaque, honoring extraordinary generosity.
  • When will plaques be installed?

Installation will take place before the Mansion's reopening in late August of 2026.
  • Where will it be located?

On the Mansion’s back patio, where generations of students have crossed as they walk out of the Mansion doors during their graduation.
  • Who can participate?

Alumni, current families, grandparents, faculty, staff, Trustees, and friends of Crystal.
