Fine Arts Festival Showcase
Instrumental Music
For those students who play instruments, a variety of middle and upper school instrumental groups are available. Students play in various ensembles from chamber groups to jazz combos. The groups perform throughout the year at school events such as Admission Open Houses, Holiday Program, and Evening of Music (part of the Fine Arts Festival held each spring).
Choral Music
Throughout the comprehensive Choral Music program, students are introduced to a variety of music and musical genres from around the world. This study is enhanced with demonstrations, sectional coaching, guest directors/conductors, and performances. The Choral Music program offers Middle School Chorus, Middle School Musical, Crystal Chorus, Madrigals, and male and female a capella groups for both the middle and upper schools. Choral students gain knowledge of music theory, singing techniques, sight-reading, part-singing, and performance. Students join a community of singers who work together to create something special through collaboration, dedication, performance, humor and a love of music. Singers have the opportunity to perform for numerous school concerts as well as venues throughout the Bay Area.
