Graduation Requirements

Crystal Springs Upper School students exceed the University of California A-G requirements by fulfilling the graduation requirements of the Crystal curriculum.

ENGLISH:

4 years of English, one taken each year
  • English I
  • English II
  • English III or (H) English III
  • English IV or (H) English IV
 ENGLISH: 

4 years of English Required
HISTORY:

3 years of History
(including World History and U.S. History)
  • Comparative Cultures or European History
  • U.S. History or (H) US History
  • One other history course (full year or two semesters)
 HISTORY/SOCIAL SCIENCE:

2 years of History/Social Science required

Including one year of world history, cultures, and geography, and one year of US History or
one-half year of US History and one-half year of Civics or American Government
LANGUAGE:

Through Level III of World Language (with a minimum of two years of consecutive WL taken in high school)
  • Spanish, French or Mandarin I
  • Spanish, French or Mandarin II
  • Spanish, French or Mandarin III
 LANGUAGE other than English:

2 years required
3 years recommended

Two years of the same language other than English
MATHEMATICS:

Through Level III (at least three years in high school recommended)
